Grant, Jeffrey S. of Milton May 28, 2007. Devoted husband of Kathleen Grant of Milton. Beloved father of Paul E. Grant of Randolph, and Mark S. Grant of Peabody. Loving brother-in-law of John Nason, Mary Lou and Bill Doerr, Patricia R. Gorham, Peter & Ellen Nason, and Teresa M. Fielding. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 6/1/07 from 4 – 8 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. WOLLASTON. Memorial Funeral Service will be celebrated at the First Parish in Milton, Unitarian Universalist, 535 Canton Avenue, Milton on Saturday 6/2/07 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeffrey Grant may be made to Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library, 175 North Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02472-2790. Jeffrey S. Grant, 61, of Milton, died at Milton Hospital on Monday of long-term health issues. Mr. Grant was an advocate for the disability and senior community for over 20 years. Born in Boston, he lived in Milton for over 30 years. He previously supervised Food Services at Youville Hospital in Boston and most recently worked as a realtor for Century 21 Abigail Adams Agency in Quincy. Mr. Grant was active in several advocacy groups including: Massachusetts Senior Action Council, the Access Advisory Committee to the MBTA, and the Boston Partnership for Older Adults. Mr. Grant was a staunch advocate for the American’s with Disabilities Act and the Older Americans Act, and was the Disability Commissioner for the Town of Milton. Mr. Grant was a great lover of the ocean and all things nautical. From a young age he learned to sail, and taught sailing at,Community Boating on the Charles River in Boston. He also enjoyed travel and gardening. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, two sons Mark and Paul, seven brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff is best remembered as a man who lead a life of service and selflessness, and a staunch advocate of self-respect and safety for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
