Jeffrey Q. Ast

Ast, Jeffrey Q. of Hull, passed away June 1, 2017.

Jeff grew up in Hingham where he attended Plymouth River, Middle and High School.  Jeff was also a student at Fryeburg Academy. He recently moved to Hull. Jeff loved hockey; it was his passion in life. He played for Hingham Youth, NEH, NECDL, Hingham Harbormen and Fryeburg Academy. He was a huge Bruins fan and loved all sports  He enjoyed biking and being outdoors. Jeff will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor and care-giving personality. He was an incredibly creative and thoughtful woodworker, and he loved his family and his dog Henry more than anything in the world.  He will never be forgotten.

Beloved son to Gary Ast and Joan Quenneville of Hingham and Hull. Loving brother to Julianne Strathman and her husband Evan of Lafayette, CA. Dear grandson to Anne and Ray Quenneville of Suffield, CT and the late Richard and Pauline Ast. Nephew to Gene and Steve LaBrie of Leicester, MA, John Quenneville of Suffield, CT and the late Patsy Wilhoite Bocz. Cousin to Evan and Rachel LaBrie of Leicester, MA and Toni Bocz.

A public funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10am. Burial will be private.
