Jeannette G. Duffy

Jeannette G. Duffy (Bourdage) formerly of Weymouth and Quincy, passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Royal Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Braintree. She was 94 years of age. 

Beloved wife of the late Leo Duffy. Loving mother of Gerard Duffy married to Jane of Marshfield, Mary Jane Johnson married to David of Middleboro, James Duffy married to Janet of Hanson and the late John Duffy who leaves his wife Elinor of Bridgewater. One of five children to the late Rudolph and Maude Bourdage Jeannette is survived by her sister Rita Walsh of So. Weymouth. Proud “Grammy” of  12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived many nieces and nephews.

Raised and educated in Quincy, Jeannette had lived in Weymouth for 59 years. She was proud to have worked for the Jordan Marsh Co. in Braintree retiring from there in 1984 as a buyer in the Housewares Dept. She was an avid Red Sox fan and a former volunteer for the Heart Assoc. She loved to cook and knit but most especially she enjoyed time spent with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Monday evening 4:00-8:00pm . Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 8:00am to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the St. Albert the Great Church at 9:00. Interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
