Jeanne M. Gannon

Jeanne M. (Donnelly) Gannon, of North Weymouth originally from Dorchester (St. Matthew’s Parish) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 surrounded by her family at the age of 81.

Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Charles (Jim) F. Gannon. Jeanne is survived by her four loving children James Gannon of Weymouth, Patrick Gannon and his wife Susan of Pembroke, Susan McCarthy and her husband Billy of Weymouth and Maureen DeCoste and her husband John of Pembroke. Jeanne’s pride and joy were her ten grandchildren; Cameron and Shayla McCarthy, Brianna, Abbie-Brooke and Jack DeCoste and Justina, Sean, Michael, Mary and Bridget Gannon.  Jeanne was predeased by her parents Agnes (Walsh) and Lawrence Donnelly, her sister and best friend Patricia Quinn and her granddaughter Katherine Gannon. Jeanne is survived by her brother Lawrence Donnelly and his wife Elaine of Prince Frederick, Maryland and many loving nieces, nephews and friends along with her special niece and godchild Jeanne Travis.

Jeanne graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls where she was proudly voted best dancer. Jeanne loved to dance at family weddings and functions and loved to show off her dance moves to the Hully Gully, Jitter Bug and the Hustle. Jeanne previously worked at Talbot’s in Hingham for over 27 years in the corporate offices. Jeanne’s life centered around her family, she loved the ocean and Cape Cod.  It brings us comfort knowing that our Mom was with her children and grandchildren enjoying summer vacation on Cape Cod when her last vision on this earth was watching her grandchildren walk to the beach, waving to them and telling them “I love you” before she was stricken ill.
