Jeanne M. Duffy

Duffy, Jeanne M. (Doherty) of Hingham, formerly of Dorchester and Weymouth, died peacefully, April 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family

Jeanne’s family meant the world to her and nothing gave her more joy in her life.  She was known to sing her way through life and could turn any phrase into a delightful song. She enjoyed summers on Pinehurst Beach in Wareham, especially the sing a long’s on the patio with her close friends.  Jeanne and her devoted husband of 72 years, Hugh were most proud of their biggest accomplishment in life, which was raising their nine children with love and respect for each other and teaching everyone the importance of putting family first. She was always making new friends with her contagious smile and outgoing personality.  She will be remembered for her constant energy, love of life, and devotion to family.

Beloved wife of Hugh J. Duffy, Ret. BFD of Linden Ponds, Hingham.  Loving mother of Lynne Cunningham (Paul) of Weymouth, Louise Henderson of Marshfield, Hugh Duffy (Geri) of Duxbury, Jeanne Hammond (Brian) of Mashpee, Kathleen Duffy of Hingham, Thomas Duffy (Amanda) of CO, Patricia Smith (Edward) of Norwell, Maureen Sudbey (David) of Osterville, and Aileen Darios (Al) of Weymouth.  Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street, Hingham, Friday April 22, 2022 at 10:30 AM.  Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 PM.
