Johnston, Jeanne “Loretta” (Hebert) of Braintree, died December 13, 2013.
After graduating high school, Loretta attended Business School. She was a gracious soul who liked to donate her time to helping those in need. Loretta volunteered and later worked as a secretary for the Maryknoll Missionaries, where she continued her education and became a Chaplain. Loretta enjoyed Ballroom Dancing, traveling, entertaining and especially spending time with those she loved. She will be remembered for her elegant, loving, beautiful character and her smile that lit up a room.
Beloved mother of Laurie Rann and her husband Richard of Marshfield, Lynne Ahearn and her husband Edward of Marshfield, Charles “Chip” Johnston and his wife Cynthia of Easton, Tracy Bradley and her husband Richard of Norwood and Jacqueline Butler and her husband Gregory of Winchester. Caring sister of Norman Hebert and his wife Ann of Petersham. Devoted Mimi of Shelby, Casey, Katelynne, Carolyn, Zachary, Carly, Hayley, Kyle, Matthew, Krista, Evan, Kayleigh and Grace. Predeceased by her companion Chuck Mellor. Also survived by her friend and former husband Charles Johnston of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-9 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 11:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
