Jeanne L. Green

Jeanne L. (Blake) Green of Weymouth, 73, passed away at home after a long illness. Jeanne was the beloved mother of her daughter Abigail Green of Weymouth, her son David Green, his wife Erin, and her granddaughter, all of Hingham. Sister to Gail Mutch of Weymouth, Anne Yngve of Weymouth, and the late John H. Blake Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jeanne is also survived by six nieces and two nephews.  

Jeanne was born in Quincy, MA, on December 11, 1941, the daughter of the late John H. and Esther M. (Davidson) Blake, the former proprietors of the famous “Dutch Tap” restaurant in Quincy, MA. She was raised in Quincy and Braintree before moving to the Rose Cliff area of Weymouth where she, her children, her nieces and her nephews enjoyed the beaches of North Weymouth in the summers. A member of the North Weymouth Civic Association, and the Rose Cliff Association, she was an active and well known contributor to her community, organizing children’s activities and events in the close knit Rose Cliff neighborhood. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT. 3A, Bicknell Square). Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at St Jerome’s Church, North Weymouth. Burial will be at the Fairmont Cemetery, Weymouth.
