Jeanne E. Callahan-Allen

Callahan-Allen, E. Jeanne (Brennan) of North Easton, passed away on July 21, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family, Cathleen Elizabeth Callahan of Easton and Geraldine Callahan-Delisle and her husband Thomas Delisle of New Hampshire. Jeanne was born in Rhode Island and raised in Quincy, MA. She was the daughter of the late George E. and Geraldine L. (Vance) Brennan, and the sister of Jane Beal and her husband Doug of Hanover and the late George Brennan. She married William F. Callahan and raised her two daughters. Jeanne later married the Howard D. Allen, who died in 2006, and is survived by her 5 stepchildren. She is also survived by her niece Jane Beal MacNevin of Wareham. Jeanne loved the beach, especially Wollaston Beach; she had a special spot on the beach right across from Billings St. she enjoyed spending time with family and friends there. Jeanne along with her late husband Howard spent a great deal of time at their home in Sarasota, Florida. She enjoyed entertaining, classical music, and traveling. Jeanne was well known for her grace, dignity, integrity, wisdom, and fine sense of humor. She received her degree from Massasoit Community College, she was very active in this college becoming a member of the board of trustees (1984-1990), and then elected Chair of the Board Trustees (1990-1994). Jeanne later attended Suffolk University and received her B.A. in Public Administration. She was a savvy Realtor/ Real Estate Broker and held a dual license in Massachusetts as well as Florida. She worked for Corcoran Management as a Sales manager, she sold multiple properties while working for for Ed Pariseau. She had many wonderful qualities about her, but the essence of her life was her family. Jeanne was very proud of their accomplishments. At her request, Funeral Services were private. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Jeanne may be made to Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169 or to Oliver Ames Library, 53 Main St. N. Easton, MA 02356.
