Jeanne Driscoll

Jeanne L. Driscoll (Leary) of Hingham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 9, 2022, a few short weeks before her 95th birthday.

Jeanne was born and raised in North Quincy, daughter of the late John and Gertrude Leary and younger sibling of Jack and Marion.  After completing secretarial school, Jeanne worked at the MDC, proudly taking part in the ceremonial ribbon cutting of the Quabbin Reservoir.  In 1949, Jeanne married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Driscoll, also of North Quincy.  In 1956 they moved their growing family to Hingham where they raised their five children and went on to live the rest of their lives.

Jeanne’s passions were many, including golf, bridge, entertaining and traveling.  Her greatest happiness always came from family and friends. She was a longstanding member at the Marshfield Country Club where both Jeanne and Bob enjoyed many rounds of golf. 

Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Robert “Bob” Driscoll.  Loving mother to the late Robert Driscoll and his surviving wife, Lori of Stuart, FL and Portsmouth, R.I., Edward Driscoll and his late wife Sheila of Sandwich, MA, Jeanne Johnson of Hanover, Marion Devaney and her husband Richard of North Attleboro, and Carrol Kelly and her husband Richard of Marshfield.  Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 6.  Also survived by her nieces, nephews and friends that she loved dearly.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, July 18, from 9:30-11:00 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham Following the visitation, the funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. 

Jeanne’s family is grateful for her many wonderful years she had at Linden Ponds in Hingham amongst wonderful friends and caring staff who became a second family.
