Jeanne A. Collins

Jeanne A. Collins, went to be with Jesus on January 24, 2015. She died peacefully at her home with her family. Jeanne was 84.

Jeanne was born on April 15, 1930. She was very proud to tell anyone that God had blessed her and her pre-deceased husband Warren J. Collins, with 8 children,17 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren: Christopher Collins and spouse Sherry of Holliston; Kevin Collins and spouse Alyce Collins of Milton; Ann Marie Collins of Canton; Michael Collins and spouse Cate Collins of Belmont; Kathleen Collins Cunningham and spouse William of Randolph; Patrick Collins and spouse Linda of Carlsbad, CA; Maureen Collins Jones and spouse Merrick Jones of Raleigh, NC; Julie Collins Burke and spouse Brendan of Hanover. Jeanne is also survived by her brother, Donald F. Huber and his wife Grace P. Huber of Taunton and sister-in-law Helen T. Collins of Reading and Somerville. 

​Jeanne’s legacy of faith in Jesus Christ is the most important aspect of her life. Upon every encounter with her children or grandchildren, she would say “I love you so much and Jesus loves you more!”  Jeanne truly made everyone feel special by living into her belief that every person matters and needs to be loved.

She grew up in Mission Hill, and went on to marry and raise her family in Mission Hill. Subsequently, she lived in Randolph and Hanover, MA.

Visiting hours with the family will be at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St, So. Weymouth, MA on Thursday January 29, 2015, from 4 pm to 8 pm. 

A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church of Weymouth, 40 West St, Weymouth, MA at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 31, 2015. All are welcome.
