Jeanette F. Wall

Wall, Jeanette F. (Gushue) of Hingham, passed away March 5, 2013 at the age of 91.

Jeanette grew up in Dorchester and lived in Wollaston for many years before moving to Hingham 50 years ago. She participated in many organizations in Hingham including the Hingham Mother’s Club, Hingham Community Center and Catholic Club. She volunteered at South Shore Hospital, the Senior Center and the Food Pantry. Jeanette had a love for music, dancing and theater which led to performing in the first Cabaret by Hingham’s Community Center over 40 years ago and was proud to be one of their longest running performers. She was also inducted in the Guiness Book of World Records for participating in the largest tap performance in honor of Betty Boop. As an active member of the Linden Ponds Community, her involvement includes but is not limited to, the Welcome Committee, theater production and chorus assembly. She also enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with friends and family. She will be sadly missed.

 Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Wall. Devoted mother of Janice M. McElroy and her husband Paul of Sandwich, Joanne M. Wall of Sacramento, CA, and James S.Wall, D.M.D and his wife SueAnn of Sandwich. Cherished “Mum” of grandchildren: Jessica E. Garrity, Jared S. McElroy, Jonathan P. McElroy, Gregory J. Wall, Joseph R. Wall, Andrew J. Wall, Caroline E. Wall and “GiGi” to her great grandchildren: Ryan M. and Brandon P. Garrity and Reese A. and Holden N. McElroy. Loving sister of George Gushue of Dorchester, Eileen Flanagan of Pocasset and the late John and Edward Gushue. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend of Mary Moran of Dorchester. 

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
