Jeane M. Daly

Daly, Jeane M. (Curley) of Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, died September 2, 2016 at the age of 83.

Jeane shined in the role of wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and started several businesses, most notably, a workplace health screening service called Heartbeat Associates. Later in life, she began to write humorous stories in the local newspapers. Her knack for writing developed which lead her to author three romance novels. Gardening and traveling (including three trips to Ireland) were some of her favorite things. Also, Jeane volunteered delivering meals to the elderly for several years. She will be remembered for her quirky sense of humor, her big heart and her phrase  “Cup o’ tea?” when greeting friends and family at her home.

Beloved wife of 62 years to John A. “Jack” Daly. Loving mother of Jean Cotton and husband Bill of Exeter, RI, John Daly of Sunderland, Pat Daly of Hingham, Linda E. Duggan and husband Frank of Duxbury and Jim Daly and wife Dawn of Marshfield. Sister of the late Peggy Hurley. Devoted “Mam” to Haley Cotton, Patrick Flynn, Elizabeth Daly, and Jlane Daly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main St., Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Hingham Centre Cemetery.
