Jean S. Donahue

Donahue, Jean S. (Petze) of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree, passed away February 5, 2013. Jean has lived in Weymouth for over 50 years. She was an incredibly artistic woman with a hand in painting, knitting and sewing. She leaves behind many afghans, paintings and even dollhouses with family members to remember her by. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid Red Sox Fan. She will be sadly missed.  

Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Frank C. “Jiggs” Donahue, Jr. Devoted mother of Patricia L. Krause and her husband Francis of Weymouth, Kathleen M. Pratt and her late husband Edward of Weymouth and Daniel R. Donahue and his wife Melissa of Whitman. Loving sister of Anne Daley and her husband Harold of Bridgewater. Cherished “Nin” of Michael and Brian Krause, Caitlin Carnahan, Kara and E. Nicholas Pratt, Christopher and Gregory Donahue and 4 great-grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.)  Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jean may be made to either the Weymouth Food Pantry, 1189 Commercial Street, Weymouth, MA 02189 or The Home For Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
