Murphy, Jean “Auntie Jean” of South Boston and North Quincy, passed away May 18, 2011. Beloved sister of Helen Watts of Holbrook and the late Charles Murphy, Harry Murphy, Josephine Brennan and Ruth Flynn. Devoted Aunt of Patricia Schulze of Weymouth, John Flynn of Scituate, Peggy Ludy of Shewsbury, William Flynn of Hingham and Robert Flynn of North Quincy. Cherished aunt of the Murphy, Brennan and Watts Families. Loving great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Jean was born, raised and educated in St. John’s Newfoundland. She lived in South Boston for many years before settling in Quincy. Jean was a devoted Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Augustine’s in South Boston, Sacred Heart in North Quincy and St. Ann’s in Wollaston. Jean was an active member of the Legion of Mary. Jean’s number one priority was being a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring person who put others above herself. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
