Jean M. Dickey

Dickey, Jean M. (Benoit) of Weymouth, died November 26, 2021 with her family by her side. Jean was born in Roslindale to the late Leo and Mary Benoit. She later moved to Dorchester and then became a longtime resident of Weymouth. She worked for many years as a childcare teacher at Kindercare in Weymouth. Jean’s family meant the world to her and she loved to spend time with them. She was a strong woman and liked to keep things simple, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Dickey. Loving mother of Paul Dickey of NH, James “Jamie” Dickey and his partner John of Brockton, Michael Dickey of Sandwich, Cheryl Dickey of Boston and the late Stephen Dickey and his wife Nancy of Quincy. Dear sister of Leo Benoit of Medfield, John Benoit of Quincy, James “Jim” Benoit of Milton and the late Joseph and Stephen Benoit. Cherished Gram of Lauren, Paul Jr, Sean, Jewel, Isabella and Michael Jr. Auntie Jean to many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dog Pepe and many longtime close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
