Jean M. Atkinson

Atkinson, Jean (MacLaren Cotter) of Quincy, died on November 18, 2010 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Atkinson. Devoted mother of Andrea Fountain and her husband Scott, June Atkinson and Alan J. Atkinson, all of Quincy. Dear friend of William Klessens of Salem, NH. Loving sister-in-law of Elizabeth Hayes of Dedham. Jean was born in Milton and was a lifelong resident of Quincy. She loved to read, particulary Danielle Steele novels and historical fiction. She had a special love for animals, especially her cats. Jean enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod and visiting relatives in Nova Scotia. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 6 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM on Monday. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
