Jean C. Honsa

Honsa, Jean C. (McGrath) of Hingham, peacefully entered into rest on Oct. 11, 2012 at Renaissance Gardens at Linden Ponds, she was 89 years old. The beloved wife of the late Francis E. Honsa. Loving mother of Michael F. Honsa of Brockton, Elana J. Gibreault of North Kingstown, R.I., Sharon L. Hug of Milford and Greg C. Honsa of Bellingham. Sister of the late John and Richard McGrath. Jean is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Born in Natick, Mass. throughout her life she resided in Hopedale, MA as well as CT and FL. She worked as a secretary for Natick Army Labs and later in her career she worked at Otis Airforce Base. Jean had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining people with her variety of jokes. She also enjoyed dancing, crafts, interior decorating and painting. She was always up to the challenge of a crossword puzzle. Jean had a great sense of style and enjoyed being a fashion queen. The true essence of her life was her family, they were the foundation of all that was truly important to her. Her fun loving spirit will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7pm PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A private burial will take place in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Linden Ponds Benevolent Care Fund, 300 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham, MA 02043.
