Jean C. Devine

Jean C. (Morison) Devine of Weymouth, passed away February 5, 2022 at the age of 98 with her family by her side. Jean devoted her life to her family.

Jean was born in South Boston had 10 brothers and sisters (Bill, Rose, Bob, Don, Dorothy, Mary, Rita, Christine, Erena and Margaret) and later moved to Braintree where she graduated from Braintree High School. Jean went on to attend Burdette College and marry Gerard Devine of Weymouth. Jean took up residency in Weymouth in the mid-1950s where the couple raised their family. The couple having three children Michael, Jeannette and Kevin all of Weymouth.

Jean worked for the Weymouth Public School System for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler, traveled extensively, enjoyed bocce, was a frequent participant in activities at the Whipple Senior Center in Weymouth and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church for 60+ years. Jean is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
