Jean A. (Murphy, Peterson) Emil

Emil, Jean A. (Murphy, Peterson), of Hingham, died October 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

A graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, Stonehill College, and University of Southern Mississippi, Jean spent her career as a guidance counselor and social worker advocating the needs of children and families until her retirement.

She will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Loving mother of John H. Peterson, Jr and his wife, Lindsay of Milton, and Jennifer A. McNally and her husband, Kevin, of Hingham. Sister of Janet L. George of Sugar Hill, GA. Proud Mimi of Billy, Katherine, Tommy, Sophia, Jack and Ellie. Aunt of Julie Blankenship of Sugar Hill, GA.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
