Smith, Janet R. (Breen) of Hull, originally from Dorchester, died July 31, 2013, she was 80. In her earlier years, Janet was very involved in St. Marks Parish in Dorchester, participating in Girl Scouts, Ladies Guild, Cub Scouts and in the numerous variety shows throughout the years. When she moved to Hull, she became an active member of St. Mary’s Parish. She and her late husband “Snuffy” loved living in Hull. Together they made many special memories that her family cherish today. Family was the foundation of all that was truly important to her. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend as well as a devout catholic. Janet will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have had her in their lives.
The beloved wife of the late Edward A. “Snuffy” Smith. Loving mother of Mary Kate D’Arcangelo and her husband Domenic of Scituate, Timothy Smith and his companion Alana Swiec of Hull and Noreen Smith of Quincy. Sister of the late Charles, William and Patricia Breen. Cherished grandmother of Sean and Ellen Foley. Dear friend of Mary Riley of Hull. Janet is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull Monday, August 5 at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janet may be made to The ALS Association – Massachusetts Chapter, 320 Norwood Park South, First Floor, Norwood, MA 02062.
