Janet M. (Russell) Manley

Mrs. Janet M. (Russell) Manley, of Hingham, originally from Dorchester. Janet was born in Boston to the late Florence and Edward Russell. She was a graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Boston City Hospital. Janet was a Nurse for 23 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston as well as several other skilled nursing facilities. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their Pinehurst Beach Cottage in Wareham, along with reading and cooking delicious meals. Janet loved entertaining family and friends for holidays, birthdays and special occasions of all kinds.

Beloved wife of 62 years to Raymond Manley of Hingham. Loving mother of Stephen R. Manley of Hingham, David F. Manley and his partner Debi Oliver Hardy of Plymouth, Suzanne M. McIntyre and her husband David of Hingham and Karen A. Manzi and her husband Joseph of N. Reading. Dear sister of Eileen Melia of Arlington, VA and the late Edward Russell. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on August 8th, 2023 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 4:00 to 7:00 PM 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on August 9th at 10:30 AM  in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.
