Carey, Janet M. (Duffy) of Quincy, died February 13, 2014.

The beloved wife of the late Charles A. Carey. Devoted mother of Mark Carey with Nicole Sapienza of Quincy, Brian Carey and his wife Dorene of Chevy Chase, DC, Christine Carey Hunter of Quincy, Timothy Carey and his wife Heather of Quincy. Mother in Law of Jeff Hunter and Nancy Carey. Sister of the late Harriet Whitcomb.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Ian and Derek Hunter, Julianne, Emily, Pearl and Megan Carey.

Janet will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed the arts and truly enjoyed life and people. She had a big heart and a great sense of humor. The foundation of her life was her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
