Janet M. Carey

Carey, Janet M. (Keefe) of Weymouth, passed away March 16, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Boston, Janet was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Helen M. Keefe. She was a lifelong resident of Weymouth.  Janet worked as the office manager for Spataro Plumbing & Heating for over 30 years and had recently retired.  Janet loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed the ocean, gardening and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Beloved wife of James M. Carey of Weymouth. Loving mother of Dawn Prestileo and her husband Jamie of Hingham, Darci Nadeau and her husband Mark of Hanover and stepmother of James Carey Jr. and his wife Gina of NC. Cherished Nana of Ella, Jack, Wes, Michael, Gianna and Liam. Dear sister of Donald Keefe and his wife Maureen of Whitman and the late Joseph Keefe Jr. and his wife Joyce of Norwell. Also survived by her former spouse, Glenn Miller of Scituate, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.
