Janet Lucille Maher

Janet Lucille (Cole) Maher of Weymouth died May 11, 2016 at the age of 88. 

Janet was born in Ayer on December 27, 1927.  She was raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School. On February 18, 1950, she married Richard “Dick” Maher of Wakefield, 96, her true love, and they had a long and happy life together.  She loved her family above all else, and she had a warm heart and a wry sense of humor.  She had a long career as a secretary to the Manufacturer’s Industrial Relations Association in Wakefield.  Loving mother of Stephen Maher of Weymouth and Pamela Maher and her husband Vicente Lomeli of Los Gatos, California.  Sister in law of Rita Stanley of Melrose, Margaret Calmes of Ohio, Joan Flynn of Stoneham and Ann Salani of Arlington.   Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was cherished, deeply loved, and will be missed and remembered always.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Saturday prior to the funeral service at 10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth.  Burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice, One Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062.
