Palma, Janet C. (Mechan) of Plympton, formerly of Quincy, December 19, 2005. Wife of over 50 years to the late Anthony F. Palma. Loving mother of Anthony F., Jr. of Plymouth, Nancy Morrison of Holbrook, Susan Buccini of Weymouth, Robert T. of Plympton, Bruce B. of San Diego, CA, Mary Morse of Braintree, David A. of Hull, Janet Vlassakis of Hanover, Theresa Lawyer of Scituate, Richard of Burlington, CT and the late Kenneth. Sister of Kenneth Mechan of Orleans, Elmer Mechan of Weymouth and Robert Mechan of Boston. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Wollaston at 9 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne Friday at 12:30 PM. Mrs. Palma lived in Quincy for more than fifty years before moving to Plympton. She spent most of her summers on Cape Cod. She graduated from the High School of Practical Arts, Boston in 1942 and later worked at Army Ordinance and volunteered at USO during WWII. She enjoyed reading and devoted her life to her family.
