Cantino, Jane Lillian (Russell) of Wollaston, formerly of Chestnut Hill, May 23, 2009. Devoted wife of Philip Cantino of Wollaston. Loving daughter of the late Patrick H. and Margaret (Bowen) Russell. Fond sister of Henry Russell of W. Roxbury, John Russell of Quincy, Patrick Russell of Merrymount, Anna Connolly of N. Quincy, Mary Ashness of Clayton, N.C., and the late Margaret McNamee. Jane is also lovingly survived by 25 special fond nieces and nephews. Jane was an honor graduate of Marie Immaculata Secondary School in Dunmanway, Co. Cork Ireland and a graduate of Boston University Graduate School of Education. She was a member of the National Education Association of Secondary School Teachers and the Boston Teachers Union. Jane was a teacher for the Boston Public Schools for 32 years before retiring in 1985. Jane was a proud United States Army Veteran, WWII European Theater. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jane may be made to Sisters of St. Clare,720 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
