Jane A. Peterson

Jane A. (Taber) Peterson, 84, recently of Bridgewater, a long-time resident of Hingham, and part-time resident of Venice, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, November 15^th, 2016, at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. 

Jane was born September 3, 1932 in South Weymouth and attended Weymouth schools.  Jane began her career at the New England Confectionary Company in Boston.  Jane was a long-time employee at The Foxboro Company, Plymouth, MA and retired after 15 years.  Jane devoted her life to raising her children and spending time with her husband.  She enjoyed being with her family and traveling.  Jane was an avid Bible reader and loved history.  

Jane was the loving wife of George N. Peterson, to whom she was married to for 62 years.  Jane was the beloved mother of George N. Peterson, Jr. of East Bridgewater, and his wife Lynell, and Cheryl Peacock of Weare, NH and her husband Ralph, and Carrie Ricard, of Bridgewater, and her husband Arthur; grandmother of Tony Peacock, Stephen Peacock and Matthew Peacock and Jennifer Page, Laura Nolan, and Jared Peterson; great-grandmother of Noah and Tripp Peacock and Hunter and Zander Page and Kevin Nolan, III.  Jane is survived by her brother Paul Taber of Hanson, and his wife Donna and her sister, Kathy Post of Manomet, and her husband Randy, and brother-in-law Don Morrison and his wife Joan.  Jane was predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Marion (Pye) Taber and sister, Susan Morrison.  She was the aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

All family and friends are welcomed to attend a memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 90 Ward Street, Hingham, MA, on Sunday, November 27^th at 4 p.m.  Burial is private.
