James W. Callahan

Callahan, James W. of Weymouth, died October 10, 2018.

He was born in Quincy and a resident of East Weymouth for the past 54 years. He was employed for First National Stores for 47 years. Jim is a member of the East Weymouth Congregational Church. He served in the U.S.Army during the Korean War. He was an avid walker, hiker and enjoyed following the Boston Celtics. He was 85. Beloved husband of 54 years to Joan (Anderson) Callahan. Loving father of Susan Fasino and her husband, James of Mansfield, Bob Sicuranza and his wife, Diane, of Hanson, James W. Callahan, Jr and his wife, Dorie of Weymouth, and Robert Callahan and his wife, Susan of Weymouth. Brother of Jack Callahan and his wife, Peg, of Braintree, Pat Anderson of Pembroke, and the late Mary Varraso, Fran Cavallaro, Dot Griffen, Betty Bailey, Sheila Bertucio, and Winifred Callahan. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).
