James Timothy O’Sullivan

Mr.  James Timothy O’Sullivan from Weymouth, died on March 26th, at home, with his family, from the complications of cancer, at the age of 70.  A 1969 graduate of Weymouth High School, Jim was the owner and president of American Air Conditioning Co., where he worked for over 53 years, and a lifelong member of Local 537.  Retirement was never an option.  His favorite quote was “you get out of life, what you put into it”  and he gave it all.

     Jim was the son of the late Rita and Jim O’Sullivan, of North Weymouth, brother of Michael O’Sullivan, of Marshfield and his late brother, John O’Sullivan, of North Weymouth.  Jim was married to his lifelong partner, Donna Kreitman O’Sullivan for nearly 48 years, having met when they were 14.  He is the very proud father of Jim O’Sullivan of North Weymouth; Mark, and his wife  Christine  Wolfrum O’Sullivan of Makawao, HI; loving papa of Timothy and Emily O’Sullivan, of North Weymouth and Jordan O’Sullivan of Makawao, HI, the true joys of his life.  He will also be deeply missed by his granddoggy, Lucky, who brought out his  true spirit.

     Jim loved spending time with his family, especially boating, fishing, scuba diving and exploring Boston Harbor islands, sharing his precious vacations in Bermuda and Hawaii with his children and grandchildren.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Sunday, April 3rd, from 1-2 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM. McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.

Burial will be private.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Weymouth Parks and Recreation Dept., 1393 Pleasant St. Weymouth, Ma 02189, noting O’Sullivan Park, in Jim’s name, to develop a shade area for the James T’ O’Sullivan Park, named for his grandfather and mentor, founder of American Air Conditioning Co. and  former Weymouth Selectman.
