James T. “Jimmy” Peers

Peers, James T. of Braintree, died June 12, 2016 at the age of 79.

James served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a long time and active member of the John P. McKeon Post in Dorchester. He retired from the Quincy Housing Authority.

Beloved husband of Patricia A. (Keefe) Peers. Loving father of Ruth Peers-Nolan of Braintree and Kenneth J. Peers of New York City. Brother of Alan Peers of Mashpee and the late Beatrice McDermott. Devoted grandfather of Terrance, Bridget, and Garret Nolan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Thursday 9:30 AM-10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to John P. McKeon Post Scholarship Fund, 4 Hilltop St., Boston, MA 02124.
