Snyder, James S. “Jim” of Quincy February 3, 2003. Daughter of the late James Snyder and Rosalie (Gottlich). Brother of Gail Kilcommons of Quincy and the late George F. Snyder. Uncle of Mary, John, Joseph and James Kilcommons and Kathleen O’Callaghan all of Quincy. Also survived by several grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Thursday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visitation will be prior to Mass. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM. James recieved many medals while in Korea they include the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) and the National Defense Service Medal. He was also a member of the American Legion. Jim enjoyed fishing and his home and garden. He enjoyed people and was always available to lend a helping hand especially to his friends at Martensen Street. Mr. Snyder also volunteerd for the Meels on Wheels Program. Donations in memory of Mr. Snyder may be made to St. Marys’ Church 95 Crescent St. West Quincy, MA 02169.
