James S. Hanssen

James S. Hanssen, of Pembroke, passed on April 4, 2021, just hours shy of his 74th birthday. Beloved husband of 51 years to Janet (Burke) Hanssen. Devoted father of Bryan and his wife Kerry of North Andover, and Eric and his wife Catherine of Leominster. Cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren. 

Before retiring, James worked for 50 years as a pipefitter for Local 537 Boston. 

James’s family wishes to thank the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association for their dedicated and attentive care. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’s memory can be made to the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA 02061.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 11am- 1pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). 

Funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Friday at 1 PM. 

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
