James R. Macelhaney

MacElhaney, James R. of Milton, died May 18, 2015.  Beloved husband of the late Mary (Giblin) MacElhaney.  Loving father of Susan Best of East Bridgewater and her late husband William H. Best, Jr., Thomas MacElhaney and his wife Patricia of Andover, Joan Rowland and her husband Robert of South Weymouth and James  MacElhaney and his wife Elizabeth of Foxboro. Sister of Elizabeth Garrett of Alabama and the late Alexander MacElhaney and Catherine Tunstall. Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

James was born in Boston.  He lived in Quincy before settling in Milton.  James was passionate about his work at Brayton Wilson & Cole where he was a production manager and owner for many years  before retiring.  He was a horse racing enthusiest and was a proud  Thoroughbred horse owner.  James enjoyed vacationing with his family especially to Bermuda and St. Martin.  Most of all James loved his family who will truly miss him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
