James R. “Jimmy” Cunniff

Cunniff, James R. “Jimmy” of Weymouth, died September 18, 2023.  He was 88. Jimmy was a proud retired Sergeant of the Massachusetts State Police. 

Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Marion “Pat” (Downey) Cunniff. Loving father of Christine Barrett and her husband Patrick of Weymouth, Carolyn Mullaney and her husband James of Quincy and Joanne Murphy and her husband William of Duxbury. Cherished Grandpa of 8 grandchildren; Joseph and his wife Christine, Nicholas, Gretchen, James and his wife Alison, Danielle, Briana, Michael, Olivia and 1 great grandchild Quinn. Also survived by his brother Richard Cunniff and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 8:30 – 10:00 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
