James P. Kilroy

Kilroy, James P. of Weymouth since 1953, formerly of Dorchester,  passed away on October 7, 2016. He was 91.

He served in World War 2 with the United States Army of the 80th Infantry Division. Jim received 4 Bronze Stars. He was a Pressman for the Boston Herald for 50 years and a member of the International Union. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, hunting, and was also a former usher at Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth.

Beloved husband and Best Friend of 68 years to Lillian F. (Reardon) Kilroy. Loving father of James P. Kilroy, Jr, of Marshfield, Stephen Kilroy of Chatham, Ellen T. Veelenturf and her husband, Robert, of Norfolk, and  Lorraine Quinn and her husband, Michael, of Weymouth. Grandfather of Jeffrey, Stacie, Ryan, Beth, Michael, Casey, and Callie. Also survived  8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
