James P. Kenney, Sr.

Kenney, James P., Sr. of Quincy, April 18, 2009. Beloved husband of 51 years to Joan M. (Lennon) Kenney of Quincy. Loving father of James P. Kenney, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Stoughton and JoAnn Kenney (Quincy Public Schools Teacher) of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Adam J. Kenney of Stoughton. Son of the late John V. Kenney and Helen T. (O’Brien) Kenney. Brother of the late John Kenney, Gertrude Bezdaris, Helen Kenney, MaryLou McCracken and Joan Chrisom. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kenney retired from NYNEX Corporation (former New England Telephone) as an Investigator for the Legal Department. He also worked as a starter at Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy during his retirement. Jim was a member of the Wampatuck Country Club in Canton and a former member of the Knight’s of Columbus in N. Quincy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Thursday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
