James “Jimmy” Altig, 47, of Quincy passed away May 4 surrounded by his beloved family and his fiancé Christine Shaughnessy of Hull.
Jimmy was predeceased by his mother Catherine “Sis” McDonough(Thomas “Mac”), father Robert Stanton and his brothers Kevin, Robert and Joseph, his nephew Mason Beacher, grandparents Paul and Priscilla “Cilla” Miller, and dear aunts & uncles.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter Kirsten Altig of Weymouth- his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Donovan, and her husband, Jimmy’s “buddy”, Michael of Kingston; Kelly Beacher, and her husband Mark of Hull; sister-in-law Tuesday Altig of Mansfield. He was an amazing uncle and loved his nephews Kevin, Joseph(Kelli) and Timothy Altig, Thomas, Patrick, Michael Ryan and Sean Donovan, Riley Beacher; great nephew Bryce and great nieces Peyton and Evelyn; Many loving cousins; his Aunt Mal; and Uncles Billy(Lena), Joe(Terry) & Tommy; and a tremendous group of friends. No one outworked Jimmy – he drove a truck, worked construction but was most at home on the water lobstering and working on the fishing boats. If you were lucky to have Jimmy in your life, then you were loved. You knew he would be there for you anytime, any place and for any reason.
RIP Jimmy and thank you for loving us.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00. Cremation will follow.
