Born in Quincy, he was a son of the late Stephen and Josephine (Oliveri) Bush. James was educated in Quincy Public Schools, and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for many years for General Dynamics, and also on The Big Dig project in Boston.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of the late Donna (Reed) Bush. Devoted father of Lisa Boyne-Hunter and her husband Robert of Hanson, and Jennifer Fraser and her husband John of Braintree. Loving grandfather of Rachel and Bobby Hunter, and Leah Fraser. Brother of Carol Gedgaudas of Brockton, Joanne Bush of Quincy, George Bush of Quincy and the late Stephen Bush Jr, Peter Bush, Helen Bush and Chris Higgins. Brother in-law to Joanne Harrington of Scituate, Nancy Mahoney of Rockland, Richard Reed of Quincy and the late William Reed of Sharon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His greatest joys in life came from time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Jimmy cherished time spent with Leah, enjoyed attending all Bobby’s sporting events, especially his football and hockey games and with great pride recently taught Rachel how to drive.
