James J. Rose

Rose, James J. of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, March 10, 2007. Son of the late Robert E. and Charlotte(Sanford) Rose, Loving father of Rebecca E. and Rachel E. Rose both of Mansfield, Brother of John Rose of Framingham, Robert Rose of South Boston,and the late Richard and Barbara Rose, Devoted loving long time companion of Roxane Renken and her children Michael and Erin Renken of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 2- 4 & 7- 9 PM. Cremation will follow. Donations in memory of Mr. Rose may be made to The Greater Boston Food Bank, 99 Atkinson St. Boston, MA 02118. Mr. Rose was born in Boston and grew up in South Boston. He was a graduate of South Boston High School. Jim was employed by Whole Foods in Cheshire Connnecticut for the past 15 years as an Inventory Control Team Leader. Jim loved his work and considered his co-workers his second family. He also worked for the Boston Globe for many years delivering a large amount of the early morning papers and was known on WBZ’s Early Morning Show as “Jim the paper boy.” Jim loved the Patriots, Red Sox and Nascar racing. James loved to have fun and taking trips to Disney World in Florida was one of his most favorite things to do. He also enjoyed going to Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Above all things Jim was devoted to his two daughters Rebecca and Rachel of whom he was very proud of.
