James J. Mcdonald

McDonald, James Joseph “Jim” of S. Weymouth, formerly of Somerville, passed suddenly and unexpectedly on July 29, 2016. 

Son of the late James L. and Barbara M. (Morrow) McDonald.  Beloved husband of 40 years to Dawn J. (Little) McDonald of S. Weymouth. Loving father to daughter Katherine M. Beaulieu and her husband Jeremy and to son Brendan J. McDonald, Master at Arms Second Class U.S. Navy, all of S. Weymouth.  Adored “Grampy” of Madeleine, Fara, Fiona and Scarlett Beaulieu.  Dear brother of Mariann Janson and her husband Donald of Lynn, Elaine Noonan and her husband James of Burlington and Barbara McDonald of Cambridge.  Jim is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Jim was a graduate of Matignon High School, class of 1969.  For over 35 years, he was the proud owner of J. McDonald Painting Company.  Jim was a hard worker and dedicated provider, he loved spending time enjoying his grandchildren and family as well as relaxing on Nantasket Beach.  He was a devout Catholic who served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and CCD teacher for many years at St. Francis Xavier Parish.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
