Collins, James J. 56 of Quincy died February 22, 2010 after a long illness. He was born in Boston, loving father of Joseph M. Collins of Brockton and Amanda M. Collins of Quincy. He was the beloved son of the late Thomas L. Collins, Sr. and Catherine (Looney) Collins. Loving brother of Patricia M. Powers of NH, Thomas L., Jr., of Southborough, Paul F. of Stoughton, Peter D. of IN, Katherine M. Moreschi of Quincy and the late Daniel J. Collins. He was a graduate of North Quincy High School and UMass Boston. Jim worked for Au Bon Pain for 15 years both in the Café’s and as a Regional Manager. The most important thing to Jim and which brought him the most joy was his children Joseph and Amanda. Jim was a compassionate, considerate, and outgoing person who will forever be remembered for his great smile and his gentle demeanor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday, 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
