James H. Grassia

Grassia, James H. of North Weymouth, fought a hard battle with addiction, which ended peacefully on July 13, 2017. James lived on Martha’s Vineyard for many years where he was a skilled athlete and all scholastic football player. Recently he enjoyed skiing, snow mobiling and the beach. He worked as a skilled laborer in excavation . He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of adventure and caring ways, especially for his mother who was sick for many years.

Beloved son of James T. Grassia of N. Weymouth and the late Karen (Moylen). Loving brother of Melissa Grassia-Chisholm and her husband Gary of FL and Michael Marashio of CA. Cherished uncle of Kayden Chisholm. Grandson of Lura Keefe and her companion Jack DeNaples of FL. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially the Emanuello family whose unconditional support was a great comfort in recent years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Thursday at 7 PM.

Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.
