Peters, James G. of Braintree, formerly of Hull, May 15, 2006. Beloved husband of the late Marie F. (Roberts). Loving father of Karen Zemotel, James G., Jr., Joanne Peters, Robert J. and his wife Stephanie, all of Hull and William F. and his wife Margaret of Carver. Brother of Lorna Gorham of ME and Dorothy Leaver of Canada. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., (off Central St.), Hingham Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday from 4- 7 PM. Jim served in the Navy during WWII and was a past Commander of the VFW in Hull, MA. For several years he was a Country and Western entertainer singing on the radio in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. He also worked in the Quincy Shipyard and for several years was a self employed general contractor working on the south shore. He later worked for the United States Postal Service from which he retired. Jim was an avid golfer and spent his teenage years at a golf camp every summer. He loved playing over the next several decades and competed in many tournaments.
