James “Jim” Carrol Frolick was born 4/29/1941 in Honey Island, Texas to Joseph “Joe” A. and Geneva Frolick, one of three brothers. He was a proud member of the United States Army, gaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, 2nd Grade. He honorably served his country all over the world, including in Vietnam. He lived a life of service and honor. After retirement from the Army, he worked in several industries before his second retirement in the late 80s. During his service and after, he and his family lived in Texas, Germany, Colorado, Missouri, Washington State, North Dakota, and Massachusetts. He was an extremely well-traveled man. He, his wife Joan, and their various dogs loved to travel in their recreational vehicles and visit new places. After his beloved Joan passed in December, 2019, Jim loaded up the motorhome with their dog, Shelly, and departed Massachusetts for parts unknown. He finally ended up in Victoria, Texas at the end. After surviving many wars, Vietnam, Agent Orange, lung cancer, and multiple bouts with pneumonia, he succumbed in his final battle with Covid-19 on Monday, July 27, 2020. He was 79 years old.
Jim is survived by his three children: Rory (Terri) Frolick in Lynnwood, Washington; Tanya Frolick in Victoria, Texas; and Joseph “Joe” (Laura) Frolick in Coppell, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren (Matthew, Ashley, Charli, Samantha, and Aly) and one great-grandchild (Lillian). He is also survived by his precious furr-daughter, Shelly. He is predeceased by his wife Joan, his parents, and his brothers Louis Edwin “Eddie” Frolick and Frank “Buddy” Frolick.
Due to floral restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be sent to the charitable organization of one’s choice or you may choose to make a memorial donation in his name to the Vietnam Veterans of America organization at www.vva.org.

Jim will be interred privately with Military Honors in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday, August 10, 2020.
As we grieve for his loss, we must remember Jim as the wonderful father, husband, and friend that he was to many of us. And always remember, as Jim always said, “I did it my way.”
“Death is not extinguishing the light. It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”
Thank you to everyone who has supported and cared for the Frolick family during this trying time.
