Russell, James F. of Hull, November 29, 2005. Husband of the late Ruth C. (Nazer) Russell. Devoted father of Ruth Lanza of Stoughton, Patricia Russell of Hull, James M. Russell of Kingston, and Sheila Russell of Hull. Brother of the late May Tracchia. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of James F. Russell may be made to Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St., Quincy, MA 02169. In his earlier years, James was in the National Guard (1940’s and 1950’s). In the 1950’s James was in the Union and as an Ironworker worked on the small John Hancock Building in Boston. During his time in the Union, he became involved with some of the local political campaigns. He even worked with Mayor Tobin in Boston. James became a resident of Hull and became involved with local politics in Hull, in addition to being a member of the Housing Board. James was a Salesman for over 45 years in the Sporting Goods Industry. He was also the former owner of a fishing and bait store in Hull. He was an avid fisherman. In 1984, James entered the University of Massachusetts at Boson study program in Gerontology. The following year he completed his studies and received the Frank J. Manning Gerontology Certificate.
