James F. Rooney

Son of the late John and Dorothy (Grant) Rooney. Loving brother of Margaret Meek and her husband Edwin of Quincy, Eleanor Coughlin and her late husband Daniel of Quincy, John H. Rooney and his wife Mary of Braintree, Joseph K. Rooney and his wife Delores of Quincy, the late Dorothy A.Walsh and the late William E. Rooney. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 333 Hancock St., N. QUINCY Monday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church N. Quincy at 9 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 3-6 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr Rooney may be made to Make A Wish Foundation of Massachusetts One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor Boston, MA 02114. A life long resident of Quincy, James graduated from North Quincy High School. He was an avid reader, fan of the Red Sox and his hobby was buying and selling cars. He also shared his life with his sister Margaret and her family.
