McNamara, James F. of Quincy, passed away May 13, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Prendergast) McNamara. He is survived by 11 children and their spouses: James T. and Susan McNamara of Norwell; Patricia A. McNamara and Chen Chang of Larchmont, New York; Fr. Michael J. McNamara of Scituate; Mary E. McNamara and Robert A. Perry of Milton; Kathleen M. McNamara and Paul W. Keohan of Duxbury; Brian E. and Maria McNamara of Watertown, Christine L. McNamara-Jaehnig and Mark Jaehnig of Quincy; Thomas V. and Jeanette McNamara of Weymouth; Stephen P. McNamara of Wakefield; Theresa J. McNamara and Dorando Saccente of Ossining, New York; and Kevin F. McNamara of Connecticut. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the loving brother of Thomas J. McNamara of Quincy. Mr. McNamara was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army. He was an employee of the New England Telephone Company for 36 years and he was an active participant for many years in the Pioneers. His entire life revolved around his large family and his deep Catholic faith. James was a daily communicant at his beloved St. Ann’s Church in Wollaston. He also served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Choir Member, St. Vincent de Paul Society Member and a longtime participant in the St. Ann’s Bowling League. He also enjoyed square dancing with his wife Mary and his in-laws for decades. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in memory of James may be made to the Servants of Christ Ministries, 87A Maple Street, Scituate, MA 02066.
