Lyons, James F. of Quincy September 17, 2006. Devoted brother of Daniel J. Lyons of Quincy, Julia O’Hara of Boston, Robert P. “Bo” Lyons of Whitman and the late John J. Lyons, Mary Vaughn, and Ann Murphy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of James Lyons may be made to American Diabetes Association Grtr Boston Chap., 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210-1216. Jim was a graduated of No. Quincy High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Jim was a machinist and worked for Tubular Rivet in Quincy which has since become Textron Co. located in Braintree. He retired at the age of 65 after working there for over 38 years. Jim was a former member of the Morrissette Post American Legion # 294 in Quincy. Jim was very family oriented. As a devoted son he took care of his parents. He was a simple, quiet man who never complained. Jim played softball as a pitcher in his younger years. He loved his car and dogs, especially his Prince.
