Culhane, James F. of Weymouth, passed away peacefully in his home on August 12, 2016 at the age of 85 surrounded by his family.
Jim was a very thoughtful and grateful man who along with his wife Evelyn, who pre-deceased him, loved his family intensely, particularly their grandchildren, who they proudly enjoyed celebrating every moment and accomplishment. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and ended his professional career as President of the North Cambridge Co-Operative Bank after 40 years. He was also Life member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks where he enjoyed golfing, playing cards and general mischief.
Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Carr) Culhane. Devoted father of James Culhane and his wife Mary of Westboro, Deborah Culhane and her husband George O’Brien of NH, Michael G. Culhane and his wife Kim of Weymouth and Lynn M. DeNorscia of Wilmington. Cherished Papa to Marion Fischer, Elizabeth Surber, Jessica and Justin DeNorscia, Meredith and Hannah Culhane, and 5 great grandchildren Michael, Mary Jane, Kenny, Evelyn and Eleanore.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
