James D. Clifford

Clifford, Sr. James Dennis of Norwell, died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 surrounded by his family, he was 87. The beloved husband of the late Nancy Clifford. Loving father of Laura Clifford and her husband RussO’Haver of New Canaan,CT, Elaine Lloyd and her husband Stuart of New Canaan, James D. Clifford, Jr. and his wife Antonia of Norwell, and Robert Clifford and his wife Donna of Hingham. Grandfather of Kirsten and Briana O’Haver, Keri, Henry and Alexandra Lloyd, Lily and Sofia Clifford and George, Coleman and Francis Clifford. Jim is survived by his only living brother William Clifford of Taunton. Brother of the late Ralph, Arthur, Richard and Francis Clifford, Natalie Bondarek and Edith Shillue and Mary Ellen Lawler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was a proud World War II Navy veteran, he was an accomplished golfer who won the Norfolk Country Club Championship back in 1951. Jim was a daily communicant for more than 25 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
